5/10: medicore

Loses appeal way to easily.
The graphics were horrible.
Nice concept with aiming, timing and obstacles though.
Got bored before making it to the end.

Even though your rating wasn't what I wanted, I appreciate the fact that you actually told me what you didnt like. It's annoying to get reviews that aren't reviews... thanks for your input!

7/10: good

It was good, but short. It's very unique and bizzare. The game concept was cool and intuitive when you have to correspondingly press the same button sequence to accomplish a certain task. It played pretty smoothly and was entertaining while it lasted. My only complaint was what happened? The story was really bizzare, more then the characters that look like card board boxes, and was hard to follow. I guess it really doesn't matter since in the end it was still great.
4/5: hope there is more action in sequel!

DJRunaway responds:

Yeah, the story is bizzare. Everybody always asks me if I'm on drugs or something... :) It runs 25 FPS and the characters are supposed to look like cardboard boxxes... Nobody ever made a whole "cube themed" thing... :) The story will reveal in part 2, when you'll see the whole situation from another point of view... :)

4/10: bad

It's not that I don't like simplistic puzzle games, but I've seen better. Once you get to a point were you are stuck and have tried it 20 times. I found myself quitting and there really isn't a incentive to go back. Nice little concept you got there, but loses appeal easy.

Try to do something that will retain peoples interest. ie: squares 2

6/10: not too shabby

The graphics and gameplay were simplistic, but oddly addictive. The arcade mode was fun for a couple of tries, but overall seemed to easy. It took forever to get to the next level and there was no rush to get through it because unlike alien invaders, they continously stay upward. Except the occasional ship, but even if they slip past your grasp, they really do know damage to you or causes a game over. The best gameplay mode was invasion. Play endlessly forever with no end in sight. That was actually challenging, unlike arcade mode, and was entertaing. The only great thing about it visually was the 3d explosions. Of course everything was in 3d, but the explosions were just amazing. Though cartoony and childish they were, it seemed to be a perfect example of death incarnerated into a little blimp. The one thing from keeping the invasion mode from losing interest was the ability to charge your weapon up. Reach full capicity and watch a full wave of death taking out endless number of ships concentreated into a single beam of fire goodness.
3/5 rating: reccomend it for just short, but pure mindless fun.

3/10: rip

It wasn't anything I haven't already seen before. The game was pretty simple and easy, especially starting off with 1000 hit points. The only real challenge in the later levels isn't in trying to avoid their attacks, but avoiding them themselves. There are so many enemies on screen and with a ship that is fairly big in size, it's fricken hard. Also how may levels are there, because I got to 21 at most and I was already starting to lose intrest. The only thing good to say about the game was that it was fun while it lasted, but loses it appeal easily.
1/5 r: wasn't innovative or lengthy

the next one will be better. i plan to have powerups, a lot more enemies, ship upgrades, harder difficulty, and stuff like different play modes. thanks for the review. i like to get some feedback from people who are more critical of it

3/10: horrible

I've seen way too many space ship landing games. Theres nothing really new or original about this at all! The only possible highlight of the game was that it was old school and played smoothly. Though it won't be enough to make up for it.

9/10: subperb

This is the most original game I've seen in style since a long time. It's simple, yet oddly addictive to play, but freaking hard! I got 370 as my highest score and can't even get passed the 1st level, grrr! What is the smallest amounts of points to get to level 2 because I want to see if you get to catch more then gas wearing creatures in wheel chairs. I think this is the coolest concept for even animated movie, but the game is still great none the less. I'm glad that there is still quality work on this site because obviously there is more quanity then quality here. There are over 300 animations that make it on this site a day and only 10-15 of them are decent and 5-10 excellent. Obvious results may vary and this is only an estimate, though an accurate one. Keep on bringing the good stuff to the site that really needs it!

10/10: perfection incarnate

9000 points
85 squares
That was my highest score! I find this a simplistic, fun, addictive, engaging, demanding, fast paced, intense, slick, stylish, polished, smooth, fluid, original game! I will despise newgrounds if this gets overlooked! Yeah,it has to do with squares, but this easily beats any of the games on this site for replay value! It's so addictive, I added it to my fav list. Obviously you know how to make fun games and it would be sooOOOooo appreciated if you made more! Some people may not like it because it doesn't have violence because they're so simple minded that they truely don't know whats great even if it was force fed down their f****ing pie holes!!!

5/5 r: booyah!!!!!!!!!
sad, fun fact: it was so addictive that i found myself moving my square to the sound of the beat while avoiding caos

6/10: not to shabby

I thought that the graphics were amazing when link was on his boat during the instructions, but at the end was horrible. It seemed at 1st you put alot of work into at 1st and then quickly rushed it out. The game itself played fluidly, but seemed simplistic and too easy. Din't give any incentive to play again. Also the sunset at the end looked good and liked how you did it on the cel shaded link (windwaker) instead of the overused sprites.
3/5 r
More replay value, variety & depth, and difficulty next time. Wouldn't hurt to put some more work in the graphics either.

5/10: medicore

The graphics could of been better. The sound effects, though effective, were annoying and unpleasnt to listen to (especially the voice). I think it would be a nice change of pace to see a suicide cartoon with an actual character then a stick. I think that sticks are unoriginal, overused, uninspiring, and a poor excuse for an animation. I've seen way too many stick violence and this does nothing more, but to add more fuel to the fire of wastefullness (dumb metaphor, i know). The only thing that keeps it from being god awful was that the death animations were intresting to watch and in variety, but I have seen better.
2/5 r
Nothing too new or intresting best describes this one.
