not too shabby

the simplicity of the game and the
visuals are stylish and highly appealing.
though you need to work out the fact you
are screwed when you have several enemies
on both sides of you and the jumping seems
a little rough.

not too shabby

you know a arcade racing game is
good when are eyes become tired
after playing. its surprising to see
such speed captured in flash, which
makes it entertaining and different
from the rest of the pack...mainly the
side scrollers. music wasnt anything
special and the controls get a little
use to, despite the simplicity of it.

too much hype

i will admitt, you're a creative genius
when it comes to making very enjoyable
and satisfying games. when i read that
this was going to be in ds format, it
sounded exciting; however, it hardly
used the idea of drawing with the mouse.
in fact, the touch pen was used only to
navigate through menus, which seemed
rather trivial to the whole idea. as for
the game, it was short lived and lacking.
it would of been great if it were composed
of more then one minigame also. otherwise,
the game is lacking and not that much fun.
even with the fast paced, zany action the
game has, which is unique style that you
have, can not make up for it.

mediocre

not that this was bad...but it does nothing
new to seperate itself from the rest in its
genre. it does satisfy the need to play a
simplistic, side scroller shooter; for a
quick, nostalgic fix. actually, if it werent
so slow paced, maybe more action and
enemies on screen, it wouldnt be such an
overkill on easy. were it lacks in substance,
it can make up in style, but there is hardly
any style here in concept or visuals; however,
the graphics did have have nice lighting to it.

poor mechanics

the graphics were crisp and does a
great job of replicating the art style
of jamie hewlett. though what bothers
me is the execution. the timing or the
flow of it seems nearly impossible since
the moves seem to be remembered by
fractions of a second. it would of been
better if it were set up as ddr, but with
the gorillaz look still...as for the song,
wish it were to use other songs like "kids
with guns" or something that isnt as over
used or mainstream as feel good.

mediocre

the collection overall seemed lackluster
and boring, though i do see why it would
consist of short, repititive minigames, due
to how there is more then one. its just too
monotonous to keep interest for more then
5 minutes.

<3 fedual japan

i really love and adore the visual color
palette, accompanied with the artwork
and fedual japan, it makes up for lots
of flare in style. though it has style,
it lacks in substance. the game had
a very bogged down speed of pace.
if it werent so slow, it might of become
a not too shabby brawler-esque game.
plus it could of used more then two types
of attacks, its just too simple, but i will
admitt it was satisfying as hell to clear
the screen with the special. just needs
more moves and not so sluggish control
and it would of turned out better.

btw: with the cool loading screen, there
is also a samuria that stands behind the
disshonorable one and decapitates him
after he commits suicide.

pie or not...

the game is too simplistic to be even
slightly enjoyable or entertaining. not
that simplisty is bad, but it needs creativity
and innovation to make up for it...which
this, does not.

lacking

the gameplay action is satisfying; however,
it does nothing to push the envelope in
design. not only that, but it becomes
very repititive, very fast. needs innovation
to seperate itself from the crowd and to be
truely fun, otherwise there is no point to its
creation.

solid game

very unique art style that has lots of flare.
gameply was very satisfying and one of the
most entertaining action games ive played
in awhile. lack of music was dissapointing,
could of really added to the experience, but
none the less it was fucking awesome.
